  • Practice Mindfulness Meditation

If happiness is a state of mind, then a healthy mind is crucial for a happier life. And, here comes the role of meditation. Many people get intimidated by meditation, as they think that they have to do the proper yoga Padmasana pose, and sit for long hours. But the good news is, mindfulness meditation is something that everyone can do, without putting in much effort.

First of all, sit either cross-legged on the floor or simply on a chair, but with your spine straight. Close your eyes. Focus on your breath coming in and out, while making a quiet mental note on each in-breath and out-breath.

In the final step, what will happen is as soon as you try to focus on your breath, your mind will start wandering with all the crazy thoughts like never before! This is completely normal. The trick is to be mindful of the moment your mind gets diverted, and start again and again. For beginners, 5 to 10 minutes of daily practice is recommended.

  • Count Your Blessings

It’s another way of saying stay positive. Be grateful for what you have and thank the Almighty for all the good things that have happened in your life. There is no one in this world whose life is problem-free or stress-free. You’ll have to remember this and try to look at the positive aspect of every unpleasant event of your life. 

Also, remember that there are people in the world who have less than what you have. So, appreciate what little or more you already have and try to be content with that. Because contentment equals happiness!

  • Improve Your Work-Life Balance
