5 Keys to Reducing Inflammation


Inflammation is something that many people deal with on a regular basis. Whether the inflammation is due to a chronic illness or is a one-off event, it’s important to understand how to tackle inflammation in a time of need. First, let’s start with what exactly inflammation is so that you understand what you’re tackling. 

What Is Inflammation? 

Inflammation is often treated as a bad thing, but did you know it is actually your body’s way of trying to heal you? If you’re sick or injured, your body works to make you better as best it can. That means sending the good things to attack the bad things, which can lead to inflammation.

Your doctor can help you work through your options for an anti-inflammatory diet that works for you. However, there are a few common triggering foods that are known to boost inflammation across the board.

3. Drink Water

Hydration is vital for our well-being in every sense. However, it is especially crucial when it comes to inflammation. The water that consumes can help your body to flush out any toxins you’re holding on to that may be contributing to the inflammation. 

An example of this can be alcohol. If your body is holding on to alcohol and trying to mend you after a night of drinking, it can be difficult to do when those toxins are still present. Help your body cope by aiding it in flushing out those toxins completely.

There are some supplements that have been known to promote health when used correctly. Some even go as far as to reduce inflammation over time when used in conjunction with other healthy methods.

Similar to supplements, don’t be afraid to look into other natural methods of reducing inflammation. Just like diet is important, so is exercise. Your movement does not need to be intense, but your body will certainly thank you for anything that fights its inflammation. 

You might also consider using a tool like terpenes to soothe the associated pain inflammation causes. While it may not directly treat your inflammation, you may find much-needed release from these essential-oil-type tools
